Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to TimelineSystem. By using the service, your organization agrees to these terms, subject to any executed master services agreement or order form.
1. Service Scope
TimelineSystem provides legal-timeline workflow capabilities including ingestion, chronology extraction, citation review tooling, export generation, and audit visibility features.
2. Account Responsibilities
- Customer admins are responsible for user provisioning and role assignments.
- Users must maintain credential confidentiality and promptly report unauthorized access.
- Customer is responsible for lawful use of uploaded data and configured integrations.
3. Acceptable Use
- No use that violates law, court orders, professional obligations, or third-party rights.
- No security testing, reverse engineering, or service abuse without written authorization.
- No transmission of malware, harmful payloads, or fraudulent content.
4. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other party’s confidential information with reasonable care, and in no event less than the standard used for its own sensitive information.
5. Intellectual Property
TimelineSystem retains ownership of the platform and underlying software. Customer retains ownership of its matter data and derived work product, subject to limited processing rights needed to operate the service.
6. Warranty and Disclaimers
TimelineSystem is provided with commercially reasonable care and security controls. Except as expressly stated in contract, the service is provided "as is" and does not constitute legal advice.
7. Limitation of Liability
Liability limitations, exclusions, and negotiated risk allocations are governed by the applicable customer contract.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend access for material security risk, unlawful use, or breach of contract. Termination rights and post-termination data handling follow the governing agreement.
